Does not work as expected

I bought this to try and lower the humidity in our trailer but it just ends up crystallizing and not allowing any water into the bottom. Was not worth the price as it was 3 times the price of the cheaper dehumidifier crystals.

Q: Do you wait until crystals are completely dissolved to refill?

A: No. The desiccant sits above a chamber. It is just air when you open it. Gradually it fills with water that drips from the desiccant in the tray on top. When the water rises, you drain off the water and keep using it. After w while the desiccant will gradually etch away. Either add more that you buy separately or get a whole new can. You can store them by toasting the desiccant to dry, washing the container, returning the desiccant and sealing air tight.

Q: How long does the product last? I want to put it in my pontoon when wrapped for the winter , will it last until spring?

A: Depending on humidity. I keep one in my truck all winter. Keeps the moisture down. Never had to replace one before spring. Make sue you put it a a tray of some sort in case of overflow.
