Q: Does this smoker have a water pan inside so the food stays moist? The larger models have a water pan inside to add moisture and prevent drying out. does this smaller model have the same?

1 Answer
  • A: On Bradley smokers, the water pan is not intended or designed to keep food moist. The pans are there so that the wood bisquettes get extinguished after burning; preventing them from burning down to ash. When wood is allowed to burn all the way to ash, it releases the tars and resins into the smoke, changing the flavour of your food. We don’t normally recommend using a water pan, but if desired, you can add water to the drip tray. Note that it is situated below the heat source, and as such will not evaporate quickly at all.
