New Tire Trial

Wow! I just purchased a set of the KO2s for my 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road and after hearing all these bad reviews it makes me wonder if I’ll go through the same issue and treatment. I pick up my truck tomorrow and second guessing myself. We’ll see. I only gave 3 stars because the way these customers have been treated. If your tires have any issues it doesn’t matter what the problem was, it’s a warranty issue and needs to be replaced. I ran Cooper A/Ts for over 10 years and very happy with them. I decided to try out the BFGoods to see how they perform here in the PACNORWEST. Crossing my fingers.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Side wall cracking

Within a year of purchasing i had only one tire start developing side wall cracks. I purchased the warranty from the tire shop, but was told everything under the sun to why it was not covered. I have never done "off roading" just paved and unpaved roads. I am writing today because the tire has finally stopped holding pressure.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how concerning this must be, especially when driving at highway speeds. Difficulty balancing and vibration can sometimes be related to factors such as mounting, wheel condition, or vehicle alignment. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. We recommend sharing a quick video tutorial of proper install with your dealer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc If additional support is needed, our Consumer Care team would be glad to assist. Our number is 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Very dangerous blowout 0 stars

Blew out with 36k miles on it at 65mph on a very dangerous interstate with no shoulder and no cell signal. Did not hit anything, tires were properly inflated. Big O would not warranty. Stay away from BFG. Very dangerous. Just happy to be uninjured.

Q: In the title description of the brand, make and model, what does ‘FLOTATION’ mean for this tire? There is another product listing for the BFG KO2 TA for truck & SUV that doesn’t include‘FLOTATION’ in the description and is more expensive for the same size

2 Answers
  • A: Flotation technology has made its way into off-road and all-terrain tires for trucks and SUVs as well. Flotation tires often have a particularly wide footprint, which can be maximized by running with lowered tire pressure and expanding the (very durable and reinforced) tire sidewalls. Rather than digging and clawing through the terrain like certain types of off-road tires, flotation tires conquer difficult loose terrain primarily by expanding the tire’s contact patch and “floating” on top of the surface.

Q: What is the road noise with these, loud, normal uiet?

  • A: I don’t find any road noise , however if you don’t rotate properly they will cupp as all big lug tires do then they will be noisy, it all boils down to proper owner maintenance!!! That’s the key
