Just your regular aluminum tape. Only use for a rough and temporary patch job.

It’s nothing more than your regular aluminum tape and you’d get better value in buying the larger roll from the hardware section. I’d expected this product to be more heavy duty as it’s intended for body repair. It wasn’t.

Q: Can I use this tape to cover rust hole, then apply bondo and paint over it?

A: This tape can be painted over, however a thin layer of bondo should be applied before painting.

A: Lol I bought this tape to patch some gaps in my furnace duct tubing. Works great for that but have never tried painting it. Maybe try cutting a sample piece off tape and try with a bit of paint?
