This item is high quality and replaced the one in the original kitchen hanging light at my parent’s house built almost 60 years ago. It was easy to replace, although I had to use new twist connectors for the wiring, as they were not included with the socket.

I purchased two of these sockets to convert a light fixture that now takes two 13W CF tubes with an external ballast for each tube. I'm getting tired of replacing the tubes when they fail. My plan is to remove the ballasts and tube sockets, and replace them with the screw-style sockets. That way, I can attach two standard CF bulbs instead. There's plenty of space inside the light fixture to do that. I don't know how it will turn out, of course.
