Better than original replacement socket with chain

I purchased this lamp socket to fix a lamp where the chain broke off inside the old socket and was not repairable -- the chain in the OLD socket was connected to a piece of plastic that broke. In this replacement socket, that piece is metal, which means it should be much more durable. In addition to that, the click on/off action is much smoother. This replacement is better quality than the original and smoother operation. Thank you Canadian Tire.

A little tough to pull

4 years ago

Does whatvit is supposed to do. It turns the light on & off. Easy to install. My 3 star instead of 4 star is because it could be easier to pull. I replaced the socket on my lamp beside my bed. At bed time, when the house is quiet it makes quite a noise when pulling it. Something the manufacturer should work on...
