Poor packaging

I purchased the #1550 accordion style 16x25x4 inch filter. The packaging is terrible. Every side of the filter was glued to the cardboard packaging. I ended up having to tear each glued section which caused the filter to bend and white padding to pull out like a cotton ball. I previously have used Aprilaire filters, but they discontinued the style I use. This filter’s quality is a poor substitute . Try to have one of your employees open the filter box and you will see what I mean. I can’t believe others have not complained about this packaging flaw before.

check carefully before buying

These filters literally "choked" our Frigidaire furnace resulting in short cycling and an service call. Despite product documentation even a new filter may restrict air flow enough to cause a HE furnace to short cycle on temperature limits.
Not only am I out the price of the expensive filters, it was service call to.
