Hello Phyllis - Sorry to hear of the challenge you are experiencing! A very sharp blades tend to dull very quickly and become damaged more easily with nicks and the edge bending over slightly. Greenworks blades have a protective coating on them, which makes them seem dull, but the coating wears off after a couple of minutes of use, and the steel underneath is quite sharp. We hope this helps improve your lawn mower experience. Nonetheless, it sound like the mulch plug may have been left in the unit. To remove the mulch plug, remove the battery or unplug the extension cord.
Lift the chute cover and remove the bag, pull out on the handle. The mulch plug is inserted on an angle, so it will require a slight twist when removing.

A: Hi there, This is a replacement blade for the 60-1720, 60-1787 & 60-1791 mower that allows easy mulching and bagging of grass clippings. Only the extremities of the blade where the pre-defined edge is will need sharpening. Thank you
