An upgrade from the regular shovel

Well constructed shovel. My only issue is the all plastic build of the bucket. I would’ve preferred a little metal blade at the front of the bucket to make scraping a little bit easier other than that it’s great for your back.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great shovel

This is my second one. First continues to serve, and has for years. With the second, now two people can comfortably shovel at once.

Great shovel.

This is my second one of these Yardworks shovels. My first one lasted several years and is still going, but is starting to wear down along the blade edge so it leaves a trail of snow behind. The second arm handle really helps for lifting heavy snow and this new shovel has the option of folding in the arm handle, which I imagine will be an added bonus when it comes time for storing away in the off-season. Yardworks make a great product!

Q: I have developed rheumatoid arthritis in my wrists and hands recently. Snow shovelling is difficult and painful. Does this shovel make it easier with this condition?

  • A: In my opinion, its more for a weaker back or to help with posture, shoveling with minimal bending at the waist, I'm not sure if it would benefit wrists and hands that have arthritis, it gives you and adjusted shoveling posture including how you handle it, different leverage for an upright posture, not really anything to reduce strain from prolonged gripping, or motions.

Q: I already have the attachment that goes half way up wooden pole which I bought many years ago. I would like to but another of these attachments for a lady I know so that she can put it on her snow shovel. Can you sell me one please? Thank you very much.

We do have an older version that is sold separately but it will only be at select locations. Please use the link below to review the older version. Q: I bought one and I find it hard to use. The plastic sleeve slides along the handle of the shovel and makes it unstable. There are two "screw holes" in the sleeve. Are they there to secure the sleeve in place?

1 Answer
  • A: The plastic sleeve should not be sliding. From the description provide, it sounds like the screws to attach the ez grip are missing. I would suggest contacting the store to exchange the product or contact Garant at information@garant.com to investigate further.

Q: Does this shovel handle lock in to place?  It swivels too much for my elderly mother to throw snow.  She bought it so it is easier on her back but having the lower handle move isn’t helping her.

1 Answer
  • A: The Ez grip handle does not lock in place. The shovel is designed to swivel to help throw the snow from side to side and minimize the stress on your back with the ergonomic design. The D grip handle at the end of the shovel is designed to stabilize the shovel.
