Missing parts and poor construction

i bought this from CDN Tire yesterday. it was missing all the hardware for mounting to the wall. i had some long screws from my previous one so used them. my last one had 4 support point, this one has only 2 but has a 3rd hole so used it as well. when i went to install the hose bracket to the wall, the 2 screws and bolts are a perfect size if the pre-drilled holes were in the correct place. i could only get 1 in and was wondering if i should drill out the holes so the second bolt fits, then thought i'd have to paint it as the unit is powder coated so would rust if i didn't do this. i found a smaller diameter bolt to fit for a temporary measure to use the reel. thought i'd call customer service as the instructions say to call if any issues. Went thru the prompts and when got to the right area, they said call back as we are closed (mid afternoon on a (Monday) . Not happy about that either. Reading some other poor reviews, wondering if i should have bought another brand... Time will tell if the company will get back to me. The manufacturer could learn from IKEA as parts fit perfectly and never short shipped any hardware.

Only lasted 2 season. The plastic knob to unlock and rotate the reel rusted and seized. Started to leak water the next season.

A: Rajin is correct. There are no screws to attach this to a structure. You'll need to buy them separately depending on if you're attaching it to concrete, brick, wood, etc as is mentioned in the instructions it comes with.

Q: The male thread on the hose reel will not stop leaking! It is white metal! I have used three different fittings and silicone to stop it. No luck! Can that male section be replaced? This is my third season using it.What can I do?

Q: Swivel won’t lock? Worked well last year, this year after remounting I find the pin that locks the swivel mechanism in place is not holding. The reel is wobbly and while rewinding the hose the pin slips out of the hole and the reel starts to rotate freely. I have tightened the bolt but no help. Any fixes for this? Am I missing a washer or something?
