I bought the lawntractor in may 2013 , very good machine for the price. I love the turn radius, good for around trees, great on gas. the only thing I had trouble getting use too is the left side shifter. I would recommend it to anyone

Tractor cutting deck does not raise up very high

A tractor like this is used for a fairly big lot. You want to cut your grass high as the heat of our Okanagan summers is hard on the grass. The setting of 5 is the highest it will go and its too low! It's equivalent to my old tractor height setting of 4 and that went to 6 which was about 1.5 inches higher. Be aware of this height aspect if you want to buy one. This tractor did have some starting issues and we will see if they fixed it.

Bought this tractor in May 2012. With my old tractor it was taking me close to 3 hours to cut the lawn. With this new tractor it takes me 1.5 hours. I would recommend this tractor to my friends in a heratbeat.

While there is currently no snowblower available for this tractor you might consider the convenient 46" Snow Plow Blade model 19A30017OEM, Canadian Tire item # 060-1870. Adding a weight kit and tire chains for extra traction will make this tractor and attachment combination even more versatile.

Q: can the deck raising lever be modified to be spring assisted? the machine is a yardworks 165 and I find it hard to raise and lower the deck lever.
