This is a great tool for dethatching your lawn - works much better than a regular tine rake. The only thing I found that could be better is the length of the handle. It could be longer which would make the work easier.

The metal rake head does a good job, but the handle is junk. It snapped within half an hour, the first time I used it.
This page was not able to load the photos of the broken handle, so look at BC Keiths image . It happened to him, it happened to me, it just might happen to you,

Q: Is there a guarantee on this product? The screws and bolts have come off

A: Don’t know but a simple fix is to put a lock washer on so nut/bolt doesn’t loosen over time due to all the vibration. Not a big deal.

Q: What are the two sides for? I bought one of these rakes last year,and it DOES save effort.Today,I will be using it again for spring dethatching.I am curious as to why it has two differently shaped sets of teeth? What determines which side you use to dethatch?

A: The Canadian tire team is incorrect in this instance . The side with straight tines is for Dethatching the side with the curved tines is for cultivating. Similar to what a scarifier does . Best deployed if you're overseeding . Best of luck
