Bought over a year ago and still holding strong. It is very easy to start. Never have to pull the cord more than once for it to start. Even after a long winter it started in 1 pull

Terrible Engine Design

purchased today. easy to assemble and started with half a pull. As the engine warmed up started missing and running rough. Stopped to empty the bag and couldn't restart! After 20 pulls took it back and Canadian Tire refunded my money. All within an hour.
Frustrating but I will say, for the short time it ran it cut the grass very well.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Product Details What's the difference between this mower and the 60-1638 mower? They have the exact same deck and engine size, and this website has the exact same "Features" list as the other mower. Please advise.

A: The difference between #60-1638 and #60-1642 is that #60-1642 has rear-bagging capabilities and #60-1638 does not come with a bag.

Q: Where do I buy replacement blades? Canadian Tire doesn't seems to sell the part number referenced in the description, and I can't find the same part on the MTD parts page.

Q: Warranty Discrepancy I just read another question regarding the warranty where it was answered as having a 2 year warranty. In the flyer is says it has a 4 year warranty. Which is correct and why the difference?

A: Below your question another person asked this and the Canadian Tire expert said this product has a 4 year warranty. A lot of lawn mowers look the same and have many similar features, it's possible you were looking at a different lawn mower or perhaps there was a typo in the flyer.

Q: Can you walk backwards with this mower ? I've read some push mowers don't allow pulling the mower, as the wheels would lock up. Does this one allow forward and backward movements.
