    Very good!!!

Earlier reviews are overly harsh and seem exaggerated but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say a 'bad batch' maybe. Hard to know how long paint has sat on the shelf so look to see if it has a shipping label and don't buy any over a couple of months old (true for any paint really). The Xball Podiums have been around 4 or 5 years now and they have always been good. They are not Brass Eagle but Procaps/DXS. Quality and consistency is very good as is accuracy. The 'bore' is quite small, averaging around .682-.684 so best for people with a barrel kit. The paint has a softer shell that breaks easily (and not too oily) and the fill is quite bright and is easy to clean. Unfortunately it is the colour of the fill that lets this paint down. Most fields that have BYOP, limit the colour of fill to white or yellow and the Podiums are a bright orange. So, there are cheaper alternatives for 'backyard paintball' or practising that may limit the use of these paintballs. Still, a very good product, just check with your field before buying and look for fresh paint.

    A Pleasant Surprise

Based on other reviews posted by other CT customers, I was not optimistic when I bought this paint when it was all that was available. To my surprise, when I ran them through my electronic loader on my tourney gun they performed quite well. I did not have a single chop and all balls traveled accurately and broke on target. With this taken into account, I can rate these paintballs very highly given the positive experience I had with them. To achieve these performance, I simply stored the ammunition in an empty cooler (without ice or cool pack) before hitting the field. Storing them that way allowed me to ensure that the shell of the balls was at the perfect level of brittleness for breaks on target, without breaks in the gun. My advice to anyone who buys this paint is to store it as I did before hitting the field. The last note I would like to make is that when you experience paint chops, it might not necessarily be entirely the paint's fault. Some markers either have too strong a bolt or lack an anti-chop system resulting in frequent breaks. Therefore, try different brands of paint to find which works best in your gun. Overall, this paint performed way beyond my expectations. It was accurate, did not chop, and has a bright color to make target marking easy. Try my cooler storage trick and these balls will not let you down. Happy paintballing!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: How many caliber are these paintballs?

    2 Answers
    • A: Paintballs average .689 but can vary greatly. I found that the Podiums averaged. 682-.684 which is a bit on the small size. Most paintball markers have barrels that are .689-.693 so, these may be a bit small for your use. They are a very good paintball though.
