I didn't think I'd have much use for this...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the complete Makerx tool set. I added the ZipSnip, not really expecting to have much use for it, but being OCD, I had to have the whole collection. Well, turns out I was wrong, I love this tool!
This little tool is amazing! From time to time, I have to cut up cardboard boxes. Always a chore, right? Not with this! The ZipSnip cuts through heavy boxes like a hot knife through butter. Makes a horrible job actually fun. It's so easy to use and the battery life is excellent.
I also use this to open those nasty plastic blister packs that many new products come in, you know the ones that will cut you wide open if you slip with the scissors or pocket knife. The ZipSnip makes short, safe work in getting those open. That's worth the price of admission all by itself.
I think the ZipSnip is an excellent part of the amazing Makerx platform and is a worthwhile addition to anyone's tool box. I think this is excellent value for money and highly recommend it.

Great for lightweight cutting!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rotary cutter tool works great for cutting down boxes. It got a lot of use after my move. The blade stayed sharp the whole time. The cutter cuts quickly and with precision. I also tried this out on light plastic. It did cut that as well, but not as swiftly as the cardboard. You need the cordless battery and charger to operate this so be sure to buy that as well. This is a great, lightweight tool. Highly recommend!

It's been a great addition when needing the straight in point lines. Whether it's just starting a project or finishing it up.

A: Hello there. The MAKERX ZipSnip Rotary Cutter is powered by the removable 20V PowerShare battery and a MAKERX Hub. The Hub allows the consumers to connect to other tools in the MAKERX system. Since the battery is removable, you can remove it to charge, swap to a different battery and keep going. Battery, Charger, and Hub are not included as WX745L.9 is a tool item product. The MAKERX version is slightly smaller and has a slimmer grip than the 4V version. And as for the 4v Lithium-Ion Electric scissors, it's powered by an internal 4V Lithium-Ion battery. Since the battery is internal, you will need to wait for the scissors to charge before resuming work. The 4V version is also cordless with no tether. Battery and charger are included.
