Missing critical pieces, could not use

Could not use product because of missing pieces. The screw and washer that hold the blade in place were missing from the package, therefore the tool is useless. I will return it, as well as the extra blade I had to purchase in another store, since there weren’t any in stock.

Neat little saw

A good little compact saw for the price. Easy to use and versatile. Does what i want it to do @ Only problem is it could do with a handle or grip on the front because there's nowhere to grip with my left hand while steadying it when cutting.

Q: what is the replacement blade? blades for it are discontinued

3 Answers
  • A: Hi Just wanted to chime in that the arbor on this saw is 3/8 inch and many/most available blades will have a minimum *5/8 inch* arbor. Apart from mechanical coupling of the saw's motor to turn the blade, the arbor also ensures centering so that the blade doesn't have an eccentric when turning/cutting. So to properly centre the blade on the saw, one would need some sort of 3/8 to 5/8 adaptor which will not interfere with the ability of the saw's lock collar to properly thread onto the arbor, and hold the blade on. Perhaps these adapters exist however I personally haven't looked for one.

Q: Does it have a screw to adjust the angle of the blade or the foot/base in case it comes not properly assembled by the factory?

  • A: Nana, thank you for your question. This compact circular saw is capable of bevel cuts up to 45 degrees, at thicknesses up to 1-1/8 in. at a 45-degree bevel. You can also plunge and pocket cut up to 1-11/16 in. thickness. It does come with a blade bolt to mount the blade. These can also be purchased as a spare parts if needing to replace in the future. Once you receive the saw, Remove the blade and reassemble it as described in the Mounting and Removing the Blade section of your users manual. This is to ensure it is properly mounted and tightened accordingly before use. -Portia M.

Q: I tried cutting laminate with the blade it came with but it chipped badly. What blade do I need? Thanks.

  • A: Hello Bob! We would recommend using a carbide-tipped blade with a high tooth count, typically around 80 teeth or more. The blade size you will need is 4.5" with a 3/8" arbor. It does not need to be the Worx brand. Thank you for choosing Worx!
