Light and tough

I have a 180 foot cedar hedge and this light little beast took care of trimming it in about 2.5 hours. This is my second WORX hedge trimmer. I really appreciate the rotary head. I turn the head to all three 90° settings to do the top and sides of the hedge. It does a great job on the other bushes around my place as well. The light weight of it is particularly important to me because I have to hold it arms length above my head to trim the top of the hedge.

This 4.5 Amp hedge trimmer with long blade

This 4.5 Amp electric hedge trimmer with a longish blade, makes much shorter work of a hedge, flower bed, cedar bush, general bushes, than a hedge trimmer with lesser amps and a short blade. I know because I have both: this new 4.5 Amp trimmer with long blade and the shorter blade, 2.7 Amp trimmer. There is a bit more weight though so hold securely with two hands as is suggested in the instructions, being careful of the the blade... Oh... and blade flip-turns 90 degrees which is very convenient for cutting the vertical sides of cedar bushes. Just press a button and easily, manually, rotate the cutting blade sideways. So take care, and enjoy the power! Saves a lot of time and energy.

Long Blade Hedge Trimmer

I've only used this hedge trimmer once but it worked very well. Easily cuts half inch branches and cuts are clean not shredded. The rotating head is handy. I wish there was a lock for the trigger but I suppose it's not there for safety reasons. The long blade is a big plus.

The 4.5 Amp Electric Hedge Trimmer can be cleaned using a soft brush to remove debris from all air intakes and the cutting blade and wiped with a dry cloth. Never use water for cleaning the hedge trimmer. Cleaning chemicals and solvents can cause damage to the hedge trimmer. If the answer that you CAN USE mild soap and WATER Is incorrect then this reply should be removed!

A: If you want to chance it, you can use a quick tie and lock the handel lever in the run position. You will still have to hold the power trigger down to run. Like I said in my evaluation, this design is not great, I really miss my Crafstman hedge trimmer since it allowed for the unit to be locked in the run position without holding down the power trigger.

A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Sadly the power switch will not stay in one position and once you let go the tool will shut off. This is a safety feature we have included to ensure if the unit is dropped the power will shut off and you have no risk of getting injured with moving blades. Thank you for choosing Worx!

On the side of the unit is a red button, when the button is pushed the rotating head will be unlocked and when you release it, the head will automatically lock. Q: Shopper looking to buy a hedge trimmer. I was reading through all the questions and answers and you say it's ok to clean it with soap and water and ok to use WD40 but you also answered one question saying don't use water and don't use solvents?
