This trimmer works very well, but I'm upset that I can't get help with my 56 volt trimmer. I have it running now, but that's no thanks to Harbour Freight. I fixed it myself. I don't understand why you switched from 56 volts to 20 volts. It's just like a company to build a product and then discontinue it so you have to buy something lese.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I own 2 Worx string trimmers and I love them. I bought this one to keep at my mothers house. All of them are great but this one might be my favorite, it is lighter and easier to use. Worx makes the best yard tools and the fact that the batteries are interchangeable is an awesome perk.

You can't beat the quality of Worx equipment. Been a customer for years. Just bought my 2nd weed eater. Backed over the other with my trailer..My bad, it was still working great after almost 10 years.

I have owned 3 in 6 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes I have owned 3 in the last 6 years. I keep buying them in spite of some problems I have had. The first one clogged the motor with dust and grime until the motor bearings failed I'm still using the second purchase and noticed the head adjuster is getting hard if not impossible to adjust the angle of. The third one is working with with little wear. The reason I keep buying them is the convenience of the battery. 1 20v 4.0 will trim my lawn, 150ft and both sides of the fence, trees, pool deck, 100ft. concrete drive, 180ft flower beds and 100ft of curb on one charge. The tilt head is amazing time saver. The wheel makes cutting a line at the edge so easy and it's light and manageable. Easy to maneuver for people who want to cut down the muscle fatigue of a heavy line trimmer. The line cartridges are a snap. Line feed is flawless and adjustable length handle. Who does that?? The thing just fits! It drew me into the power share program and now I own 2-saws, Grinder, vacuum, glue gun, two line trimmers, hedge trimmer, the small chain saw and a leaf blower.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I have to trim weeds from cracks in my asphalt driveway and sidewalk. I also have read that light cord will break a lot doing this. Is this true and what cordless model would you suggest for me?

A: I have used my trimmer for two years now and have found it very adequate for my yard. I love the cordless freedom and the batteries last a long time. The recommended replacement spool (.065") works perfect for what you are asking. So, yes, I would recommend this product. Spool part number is WA0004,at most CTC stores I have purchased at.

We do offer the Nitro 40V Power Share Cordless Attachment-Capable Driveshare 15" String Trimmer WG186. A: 20V & 18V MaxLithium Battery (WA3525). When you get new batteries, they new batteries will die quickly. Run the new batteries until they die and then recharge them for the first several times and you will find the battery life extends for a much longer time (increases each time until max time duration is achieved). You may need at least 2 of these at first. I would have one battery in use and the other charging. I use 4 of these for trimming and blowing and charge the expended batteries while using a fully charged one.
