runs good but issues

owned for a year. starts and runs fine, but when you try to drill a hole it binds up. gears in it are all messed up, silver shards of something falling out of the engine. very disappointed. starts great in the cold, doesn't help me if it won't drill holes.

Works Perfectly At -33C

Bought this auger at the beginning of January after not ice fishing for 15+ years. Read the manual and decided to use the formulated fuel blend vs mixing fuel due to inactive periods over the summer causing carb issues on small engines. Unit fire up no problem after a couple pulls with no choke and one primer pump while in a heated shop. After taking to the lake at -10 it fired up with no choke and ran with no issues. Really put it through its paces at -33 with a steady wind and results were very good. After sitting on the open lake for 8 hours I only needed three pumps of the primer and it started after two pulls with no choke so I would say it is good for Alberta winters. One thing to note is that the red primer lever only goes so far so don't try to push it all the way over or it will break but you would have to really push to do that.

Wouldn’t start or run called Canadian tire they told me to call company company told me get it running or get a new one but can’t return so now I have a unit that doesn’t run. Used the right fuel mixture and followed there start instructions. Diagnosed it to no spark and has a faulty coil but no help from anyone with a brand new unit
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Please, if you have a manual I would appreciate a copy. Good news is I am able to lift this 43 cc unit to start fishing again after my 3 year fight with cancer that has claimed my vocal cords and has me breathing through my neck.
