Gas Lantern Mantles
a month ago
They still manufacture naphtha or gas lanterns that require a mantle to burn. Mantles are extremely fragile. Canadian Tire had some available. These were universal. I had trouble tying it to the lantern's hardware so I had to improvise with my own string knot. I hope these mantles work — I haven't lit it yet and will only do this when I am going to use it. A package of two so I have a spare mantle taped to the bottom of the lamp

I don't know because they did not get put in the bag when I left the store. I didn't notice until I got home and I live an hour and a half drive away so wasn't about to go back up for mantles.

Buyers Beware!

These badly-made lantern mantles should not even be on the market. They are essentially un-attachable because the strings are too short. As a result they are impossible to attach to the lantern. Buy proper mantles from Coleman or other camping suppliers. I guarantee if you buy these you're only going to be bring them back for a refund. And shame on you Canadian Tire! You shouldn't be carrying junk like this!!
