Q: Does this filter require backwashing or any other type of maintenance?
4 years agoA: Hi there, this filter is not a typical HFM filter - those types of filters do not remove virus. Our filter is designed to remove virus, which means it is not designed to be backwashed. Once the filter flow rate reaches an unacceptable rate, likely around 200 gallons, then is to be discarded and replaced with a new filter.
