Good for small pieces of firewood

Good for small pieces of firewood. It holds fine in the hand. It is not that sharp but safer this way. It can be sharpened more if u want.

Woods camp hatchet

Purchased as a multi-function tool for vehicle access camping. Works great for driving steel spikes into the ridiculously hard tent pads we have in our BC provincial parks. Can’t speak to its wood-splinting value yet, but it comes from the store incredibly dull. Will take a great deal of effort to put an edge on it (not that it needs to be razor sharp). You certainly won’t hurt yourself with the edge as it comes.

Why is it blunt?

Got this on June 13 2021 for our overnight camping. As I got it unsheathed from the flimsy plastic cover, I was irritated that it was NOT SHARPENED. I basically brought a hammer.
Good thing I had my knife on me.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Too dull to be dangerous

Purchased this hatchet and took it camping straight away without taking off the plastic guard. Big mistake. It is so dull that you’d be hard pressed to make any sort of kindling with it. Will take a fair bit of work before it is even the slightest bit useful.
