Don't be fooled by the base

This tent had me skeptical after we bought it and I took a look at the base. The base is a soft material, just like the look and feel of a parachute. I am used to the tarp flooring of tents. It's been an amazing tent for a family of four with young kids. There is lots of room for everything inside this tent and you can stand up in the middle for really tall individuals. The floor is actually quite strong and it hasn't leaked or shown moisture through it. We use tarps underneath the tent to protect it from sticks, pine cones, stones (make sure the underlay you use does not stick out from under any tent, pooling can happen). The tent itself is very sturdy and comes with larger poles. It has held up against two wind/rain storms. The fly cover with the large door, entrance is great on the rainy days. Keeps all of your shoes, umbrellas dry. Can even store your coolers for easy access. You can fold the fly on the sides to have a great evening view of the stars if you want to keep the fly on at night. The only issues we have had is that with the fly on, it can get hot during humid days. The large mesh areas with this tent means you have to be careful when opening/folding the tent. It can snag easily. It's also a very long tent so you must make sure you have a good size site. I did spray the tent base and seams just to be sure. We researched many tents before purchasing this one and are very happy with our purchase. I wanted to post a review after we camped with this tent a few times so that our review was fair.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Too Much Plastic

Do not buy this tent, upon opening it up 3 days prior to out camping trip 3 of the bases which support the poles where broken, with very sharp edges, yeah it looks cool, but too much plastic!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great for family

Our family of 5 and boxer dog used the Lakeside 10 person tent for tenting. Overall, there was plenty of space and the layout worked well with the kids. The tent is one of the more ventilated tents with the fly off but will definitely heat up fairly quickly on a hot day with the fly on. Our first night was really hot so we pulled the fly back up over the two ends to let the air through. The second night was cooler and comfortable with the fly fully deployed. The entrance vestibule works really well. Two improvements suggested as 1) a canvas floor and 2) improvement to the plastic stubs that cover the zippers as the stubs (not the zippers) break in half very easily.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Great size but has its issues

I bought this tent recently as we just sold our RV trailer with the goal to get back to "real" camping. The size of the tent is great and it was relatively easy to set up. However, with no windows it is a very warm tent if you intent on using it in the summer. Additionally, we returned the tent the next day as the floor material concerned me as it is the same material as the tent walls...not the best floor material for a "family" tent. We opted for a tent of similar size and a tarp material floor.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Great Family Tent

This tent has 3 sections. The 2 sides can hold a queen size mattress or to singles. The center section is great for storing everyone's stuff or putting a table in for rainy times, or just more people.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
