Love the flashlights....bought 2 but sadly had to take 1 back as it would not charge. Canadian Tire did not have anymore in stock so now we are left with just 1.

Having a rechargable light is better than having to buy and replace batteries. Works as a flashlight and a lantern. Very bright.

Use it as a bedside lamp. Only lasts a couple of days each charge. Green LEDs blink annoyingly while charging but at least show charging progress.

There are some things in the description which are not stated about this lantern. First, it has an annodized aluminum base and the trim around the lens is also aluminum. This is not something seen in today's plastic marketplace. It even feels like quality with some weight to it. Second, when you plug this in for the first time to charge be patient. I thought it was dead but it took about 15min before it actually started to take a charge. I then left it charging overnight. The instructions recommend at least 5hrs to achieve a full charge. Third, there are actually small LED lights to indicate the charge level in the battery when you turn the light on. They light up solid to show you charge level. When you are charging the light they light up solid to indicate charge level and the level being charged flashes. This is very handy and something you do not expect with a product in this price range. Fourth, you push the on/off button once to turn it on. Then you hold the button to dim the light through several different settings until you find what suits you best. If you continue to hold it past the lowest dimming setting the light goes to a flash mode at highest brightness. Fifth, the flashlight function works great. The lantern function also works great if used properly. It will shine in your eyes, like any lantern, if you set it on a table in front of you. It is designed to hang from above your head and cast a light down on your work area, which it does very well. The metal hook on top is included to make hanging it up easy. You can choose bright light for doing things or dimmed ambient light for relaxing. Sixth, I do not understand all the complaints about the rubber covers over the USB ports breaking or coming loose. I have had no issues with these whatseover, and they are real rubber with softness so they make a nice waterproof/dirtproof fit when you push them into the holes. One cannot treat the light like it is a hammer or like a gorilla would do and expect it to stand up to such treatment. Seventh, the design is very ergonomic with a great fit and feel in the hand. It fits my closed hand securely and I can use my thumb on the rubber on/off switch easily.
