Birthday present for a new NFL junkie

Our 11 year old son has recently got hooked on the NFL. Every time we take the dog for a walk in the park he’d bring his AFL (yes different code) ball along - slightly deflated so he can grip it and I we have to run plays with one of us as QB and the other WR. Bought his this ball in the Junior size for his birthday and he’s over the moon! Great ball. Great grip.

Save your money and get a ball that you can actually grip

This is actually not a bad ball, but I didn't feel like the "grip" rating on the box matched the grip that the ball had in comparison to other Wilson balls that are a little bit more expensive, so I returned it. With a lot of footballs, for some reason, they have some sort of surface protectant added to it and you need to wash it off, or prep it, prior to playing with it. So that's what I did. It helped a little bit but not a lot. Unless I actually sprayed some tack spray on it, I couldn't grip it the same way that it's supposed to be gripped, therefore, there's no way you can actually throw the ball correctly. If you spend a little bit more money, you could get a much better grip. Or you can spend a lot more money and get the best grip.

Nice feel and grip, but cracked really early

Started to crack within 2 weeks. It's a nice touch other than that, but wasn't pleased with how it was cracking. Ball was not over-inflated.
