looks nice, works good. Batteries die very fast

I am looking at the reveiws. The only way is should ever get a 4 is if the batteries would last. They don't. I have had them die in only 10 days. I talked to a locksmith about these locks. He refuses to install them or recommend them! Well after I spent 1360.00 on 4 sets, I really didn't need to hear about this?!! Now what do I do? No one will take them back. Weiser won't replace them with another model that might actually work.
As far as the instructions and the install it goes well, they warn you the door MUST be perfectly aligned! This is Canada! you know cold weather. Door tend to move a bit. If it isn't aligned properly, well even if it is, it seems to jam according to the app. Then when you get home the batteries are dead even if you just changed them. Its weird as I have always had good luck with weiser locks. My combo lock on my shop has worked flawlessly for over 5-6 years. MAYBE 2 sets of batteries! Not these smart locks. Our indoor garage into the house, I think a set every 3 weeks. Not good. Wish they would not go through the batteries as they would be a nice lock otherwise. But DON"T BE FOOLED, DO NOT INSTALL.

Keypad unusable when setup on Thread

I've had the lock installed and setup with Matter via Thread for several months and while I can unlock and lock the door via my smart home, nothing else works. Weiser has intentionally disabled all features of the touch pad when setup with Thread, you can't even press the lock button! This is clearly to push people to use the WiFi setup so Weiser can harvest data on their customers. I'm very disappointed with this purchase and Weisers malicious support for Thread connectivity. Don't buy those lock if you are looking for a Thread device.
No, I do not recommend this product.

When setting up your Halo lock via Matter, the Weiser App will display a pop-up message to let you know about any changes to available features while in the Matter state. To make sure your Access Codes work properly, we do recommend programming them using the Weiser App before connecting to Matter. Rest assured, there will be more Matter features available in the future as our Matter partners update their feature offerings. A Failure of Most Features

This lockset makes big promises and fails to make good on all of them. The app is slow, but that isn't the biggest problem. Geolocation based features like 'proximity' auto-unlock don't work 99% of the time. The door status sensor occasionally stops work requiring a re-calibration which sometimes doesn't work the first time.
To top it all off, if you want to move away from the Weiser App and control it using Matter and HomeKit or HomeAssistant, you can no longer use the key pad to enter codes and unlock the door.
Not worth buying at any price.

Great lock for the house!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recieved the halo select wifi deadbolt and it was perfect! Love the black matte finish, easy to install with easy to follow instruction! Design is sleek and easy to use and ensures my house is locked up and ready to go. Battery seems to be great as I have one on my back door as well and haven't needed to swap battery yet
