Serious safety hazard due to wrong metal used - we were literally locked in the house.

Weiser should be ashamed of itself for allowing such a poor quality product to be marketed under its name. These knobs used to be made of quality metal that could withstand all types of weather - but not now. The light weight metal presumably shrunk which then left the locking mechanism unable to open in nothing more than cool weather - we were literally locked in the house and had to take it apart to get out. We reinstalled again and it happened again. This knob is a serious hazard due to inferior materials. Go back to your higher quality metal Weiser before something serious happens due to using the wrong metal for the job.
