The high-quality stainless steel AC motor is CSA approved. Its three-piece spit rod extends from 28 to 41.2 inches (71.1 to 104.7 cm) for uniform cooking. Thanks to the sturdy rotisserie rod, this BBQ equipment features a counter-balance assembly for uniform rotation and even cooking. The durable four-claw meat prongs assist in spit-bbq and are extremely durable. The three pieces that go together do not screw in completely. I believe in time this. Will fall apart. I do like the product but it doesn’t seem sturdy enough.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. The most common causes of a burnt out motor are:
1. Overloading the spit rod with too much weight (more than the 20lb maximum).
2. Not balancing the weight of the loaded food correctly, causing the motor to overheat during rotation. Proper weight balancing will ensure evenness of cooking and prolong the life of the rotisserie motor.

Q: Is Panderno going to issue a revised split rod bracket for mounting by the side burner?

A: Not sure but the current design has flaws. The side tray on the left cannot be opened as it hits the BBQ bracket. The bracket is too long. Quite sure I have assembled it correctly but instructions could be better written. Other than that it works well and of good quality.
