Q: If I convert this to natural gas can it be converted back to propane?
4 years agoA: Every time I have converted from propane to gas and vice versa at least one of the nozzles on the chassis snaps. Have had to replace the full manifold twice now As per my convo with Vermont Castings, it is only meant to be converted once:(

Q: What is the cost to convert to natural gas ?
4 years agoA: If you have a BBQ connection already, the cost is minimal. Less than $100. If you don’t, then the cost to put in a connection can range between $200 - $500. Depends on the length from the gas supply to the point of connection.

Q: How do you set the heat temperature.?
2 years agoA: Thank you for your inquiry. There is no option to set a specific temperature on the Vermont Castings 4 Burner Convertible Grill. The cooking temperature is controlled through the burner control knobs from "LOW" to "HIGH". There is a temperature gauge in the grill lid. A digital meat probe, or temperature gauge accessory, is a great tool to maintain a more precise temperature. Hope this helps!

Q: Purchased a 4 burner Vermont Casting BBQ last fall. Just noticed the grease is leaking past the grease drawer and tray to the bottom of the BBQ and onto the patio. I'm told there is a fix. How do I go about receiving a fix for this BBQ?

Q: Is there a counter balance weight on the lid? I find the cast iron lids are to heavy.
5 years agoA: Hi there – Our CAST-Advantage cast iron end caps on our grills are designed intentionally to deliver heat-retention and a heavy-duty feel while also ensuring that the lid remains safely open or closed, as desired, especially during windy days. While there is no counter-balance, the lid weight remains a signature element of Vermont Castings grills that our customers enjoy. Though, relative to other barbecues, it is understandable if the weight takes some getting used to.
