HOCKEY GOALIE MASK

I HAVE PURCHASED THIS ITEM IN THE PAST FOR USE IN A SENIOR MEN'S RECREATIONAL BALL HOCKEY LEAGUE. I RECENTLY REPLACED MY OLD MASK BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS ONE CRACKED, THE WIRE CAGE WAS RUSTING AND THE BUCKLES TO ADJUST THE STRAPS STARTED TO BREAK. THAT ONE WAS ABOUT 1 YEAR OLD. IT SEEMS THE QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN FROM ONES I HAVE PURCHASED IN THE PAST WHICH HAD GIVEN ME AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS OF USE. I AM INTERESTED TO SEE HOW LONG THIS ONE LASTS.

Q: Is this product approved to be used in a minor ball hockey league?

A: I don’t know what the standard is for league you are asking about. To my knowledge as well there is no CAS standard endorsement for this mask. I will say this, I have been using this model of mask for many years in a recreational men’s league. In that time I’ve been hit in the mask countless times by errant sticks, players crashing the net and of course slap shots in the 80 mph range and never been injured.
