This is my second (we now have piles of diapers to put out). The first one worked so well that I had to get the same one again for the diapers. Good click locking and the wheeling function is very helpful.

Its ok but could be better

This is a decent garbage can but a little over priced for the size. The wheels are big and easy to move it around, the handle is made to the container unlike my last one that fell out. However, was expecting it to hold 3 bags as it looked bigger than my last can. But it holds the same amount. Two 75 Litre bags about 3/4 full. I doubt the lid would close with two full 75 Litre bags in it. And the lid. On the shelf all the garbage cans are stacked one on top of another. With all the lids in the top can. The lids have to be bent to fit in the can causing them to warp. This in turn does not make the lid sit flush on top of the can. I tried 3 different lids all the same result.

A: The wide wheel base makes this garbage can very stable against animals (vs. their tipping efforts) – however, the hinged lid is not locking. We would not classify this garbage can as Animal Resistant.

Q: What size garbage bag should be used with this garbage can? I tried using a 120 litre garbage bag but it did not fit on the top of the garbage can.

A: I contacted the manufacturer (United Solutions) and they said a 45 gallon or larger garbage bag should be used with this garbage bin.

Q: Has anyone used this for cardboard? Just wondering if the recycling truck would accept this?

A: Automated Trucks require Outdoor and Recycling Cans to have ANSI requirements for safety and lifter system compatibility (visibly, the Steel Bar that the automated trucks use to lift the recycling/garbage can). This product is not designed for automated pickup.

Q: Will this confirm with regulations with the ciry of vaughan, they size is correct, but they require removable lids, is this lid removable?

A: Once the lid is assembled to the bin, this is no longer a removable lid. The lid is attached to the bin by a plastic rod. The lid is built to be easily and completely opened ; but will stay on the back of the bin once opened.
