I bought this rod in 2023 so it's my second year using it now. It's great! I switched out the line to a braided one but no issues at all.

Worked great for bait.

Got the ladies purple version and regular red/black version of this rod. did some dock fishing for bait with the 2 rods. Swapped out to heavier 12lbs line (less capacity but stronger) and got some "piscator" rigs with 1/2oz weights. Setup like that perch(shiners) are very easy to catch....and if your lucky enough to have a school of anchovy or herring go by you'll be catching multiple fish at a time with that setup.
