The rod is okay, but the reel is garbage.

The rod itself seems fine, especially for the price point. The reel is garbage. After a couple hours of smooth reeling, it starts locking up a little bit. One unfortunate dip in the water, destroyed all the bearings inside. Despite dismantling the entire thing and using rod oil and grease to get it moving, the low quality made it unusable. This is unfortunate considering the individuals who would buy a combination at this price point are most likely going to be kids who have an accidental dip or two.
