Had bought this around a year ago for the size and so many positive reviews; however, it broke at the joint which seems to be really thin and poor quality. At this price, expected it to last longer.

A: You need to push on the rubber covered little lever under the board to release it and open it. A little difficult but once released it’s ok.

Q: Hello, I bought this ironing board and notice that the iron rest fibreglass section looks no different from the rest of the board when I remove the cover. Is this expected? Or did I get a defective piece?

A: Hello, Mine doesn’t look any different either. I just assumed that it was built into the material used in the ironing board. I really like this ironing board.

Q: Does this ironing board go up and down by increments or does it have set stations where it clicks in? I would prefer one that has the slide up and down to the click in place type.

A: Hello, this board has a unique child lock system. The board will not collapse or move up and down unless it is lifted slightly while pushing on the release lever. It will lock into place at various intervals and heights.

Q: How do I set the ironing board up? Instructions say to press the handle but I can't get the handle to move either by pressing towards the board or pressing toward the middle.

A: There is a “Childproof” mechanism built into the lever. This ensures that the board will not simply collapse. Should the board fall over it will fall in one solid unit, rather than the lever mechanism disengaging for a safer operating board. You will need to lift the board slightly in the air while pushing the lever at the same time to raise or lower it.
