Q: Can this be used outdoors and withstand winter?

A: I would assume a typical Canadian winter with snow, ice and freezing temperatures would destroy this unit in a very short time, not to mention the effects that extreme heat and sunlight would most likely also cause deterioration. A nice unit for indoor use.

Q: Are these shelves adjustable? As in, could I leave off the top layer to get a 3 shelf unit that's ~ 41" high?

A: The shelves are NOT adjustable. You can however remove the top shelf to make it a 3 shelf unit. You can put the caps on the top holes. Thank you Have a great day
