Tubbs women's 21" snowshoes

I've had my women's 21" snowshoes for 5 or more years. they are perfect, and easy to use I don't get snow accumulating on back of snowshoes, or flying up the back of my legs like I've seen other brands do. would reccommend this brand in a heartbeat, and if I ever need another set...I would buy the same. I have since bought a set for each of my daughters......GREAT GIFT because you have them for life !!

Good snowshoes with one small problem

I am enjoying these snowshoes, but I wish the bindings on the back were better. They are plastic with holes and a metal pin and it is very hard to get them tight enough. A clasp similar to the one at the front would have been better.

I bought these for my wife for Christmas but I waited until I could try them out before I would review them. I have a pair of MSR snowshoes that are mountain capable and they have a 3 buckle system that takes time to put them on. The Tubbs with the single clip are much faster and simpler to adjust. My boots are a little big and I had to take the adjustments to the max. My wife can get them on much easier although she has only used them a couple of times. I found them lighter, a bit narrower and easier to walk around our field. They have the same weight range as my MSRs. I think these are perfect for my wife and she loves the colour. I think she would have been frustrated buckling up the MSR.

A: The best type of boot is an insulated hiking boot. Something that will keep your feet warm and dry that is not to bulky. You want to ensure you have the proper foot wear to maximise your snowshoeing experience.

Q: How do you securely attach the back plastic strap? I just bought these on Saturday and was out trying them out yesterday. However, the back strap would not stay attached and kept loosening. The metal part keeps flipping and won't properly secure in the holes of the plastic strap.

A: When you place the metal piece through the heel strap, you must pull it tight and then place the heel strap clip right against the metal piece. This should keep the strap in place. I’ve attached a picture of what it would look like.
