Powerful, bulky and heavy

No doubt about it. This is a POWERFUL machine. Throttle up and it chops through the thick greenery no problem at all. Starts easy and runs like a champ. Problem - it is on the heavy side, the stick is long, head angle is ok but not great. Those things make fine trimming to tidy up an area very tricky. Kind of like using a sledge hammer to set a thumbtack. I would say get this as a bulk chopper to get overgrown things under control. However, you will definitely need something else lighter and more ergonomic for general use around the yard and garden.

Apres quelque heures de travail... Nous avions de la difficulté pour le demarrer. On a compléter tous les diagnostique suggérer, consulter un mécanicien qui nous a recommander de faire un autre achat car celui-ci avait un probleme de piston et segments de compression. Cet appareil n'avait pas plus de trente heures de travail.

Second year with this bad boy. Only thing i noticed is when storing for long time make sure it does not lay with air filter down. Had to wash it out to get it to run right.

Q: can I get a curved shaft attachment to add to this trimmer? I find the straight shaft good for bulk knock down but is long and cumbersome for finesse work. Can I get a curved shaft attachment for this trimmer, what is the part number, what is the cost?

A: While Troy-Bilt offers a variety of versatile trimmer attachments such as a cultivator, hedge trimmer, leaf blower and more, a curved shaft attachment is not available. For Curved shaft maneuverability in a premium gas trimmer consider Canadian Tire Troy-Bilt models 299-2707, 60-2327 or 60-2329.
