exellent cutting

Mower works fine. However, it is impossible to find replacement parts. Troy-bilt site is counter-intuitive and impossible to navigate. Local store, who sold the mower does not carry anything at all. Not even blades! This my reason for not considering any more Troy-Bilt products.

Great tractor, worth the money

Just bought it and gave it a run. Smoothest ride I ever had on a riding mower. Unlike most brands, most of the weight is on the back where you want it. Everything worked perfectly, but Husqvarna still has a better system for mowing while in reverse.

Very good mower

This mower is fast, powers up hill easily and mows effortlessly. 15 hrs on it so far this summer. All functions work as you would expect. Quality machine.

Excellent Build Quality and Performance

I can't express how pleased I am with the build quality and performance of this machine. Here is a list of some of the features I am impressed with.
**Turning radius is far superior to two previous tractors I have owned
**The ease of steering and not "wrestling" the machine as you attempt sharp turns. It feels like the machine has power steering. (but doesn't)
**Build quality seems really high. It feels much more sturdy vs. machines I have owned in the past. Example is the steering column is solid with no play whereas past machines I have had looseness or play due to plastic bushing controlling the column.
**Starts very easy and very quick.
**Quieter that previous machines I have owned.
**Lots of power to mow through heavy grass cutting
**Good fuel economy

A: MTD builds and sells Troy-built. MTD only builds Yardworks, for Canadian Tire to sell. You will not find this machine on MTD website.

Q: Maintenance? does this lawn mower have grease fitting on the deck and steering spindles and front wheel hubs? Also are the hydros on the hydrostatic models serviceable?

A: The blade spindle bearings require no maintenance. Each of the front wheel axles and rims is equipped with a grease fitting. These should be greased every 25 hours of tractor operation. The hydrostatic transmission is sealed at the Factory and is maintenance-free.
