Great Product for the Price

I have had this product for sometime now and the DVD player is great. I have had no problems with it. Haven't used the VCR too much but have had no problems. Very easy to use. Like the fact that it does away with two pieces of equipment so takes up less space. Going to get another one and take it to the cottage.

Really Poor Product

I bought one of these in Jan 2011 and in May it developed a fault from about 1/3 the way into a tape: suddenly would stop and power off. Switching it on it would eject the tape and repeat the problem if you tried to play. Same problem happened on different tapes, so not a tape issue.
I took it back and CT replaced it but the new one also had a fault. Played for 10 seconds then picture would die and no sound but tape kept running. 3 seconds later the picture and sound would be back but having missed 3 seconds of the recording every 13 seconds!
The remote control also works very poorly. Absolutely to avoid!
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: NTSC only. Dual-format decks cost a LOT more than $100.
