Transport your bikes safely and easily with the Thule Apex XT 4-Bike Hitch Mount Bike Rack. This premium hanging hitch bike rack provides superior bike protection and multiple size options to fit the needs of two people or an entire family. Constructed from durable and weather-resistant powder coated steel, the rack securely holds bikes while protecting them from scratches, and is suitable for road, mountain, BMX/dirt and hybrid/cross style bikes.
Allows you to carry up to 4 bikes on your hitch
Superior bike stability and fit with integrated anti-sway that prevents bike to bike contact and ‘disappears’ when not needed
Bikes are safe and secure during transport thanks to 7” of spacing between each bike
Quickly attach bikes and easily secure them to the rack using the ratcheting cradle strap
Compact cradle design accommodates wide variety of bike sizes/frame styles
Lock bikes to the rack using the integrated cable lock (lock included)
Easily fold down bike arms when rack is not in use
Convenient access to the rear of the vehicle using the HitchSwitch lever to tilt the rack down
Quick to install and easy to lock the rack to the vehicle due to the tool-free, SnugTite stinger (lock included)
Easily transfers between 1.25” and 2” hitch receivers
Bike Adapter may be required for women's, children's or alternative frame bikes to secure bike to the bike rack

Q: Can you confirm if this is the Thule Apex or the Apex XT? It is unclear to me. From some design elements, I'm thinking it may be the XT. Thanks.

Q: What is the maximum weight that you can load on it?
2 years agoA: I weighted all bikes my family travels with and came it to ~60Kg, which is still within their specs (68 Kg).
