Removed old tung oil easily

I used tung oil on a 2 year old deck and it did a terrible job. I used Thompson's deck stripper and it worked great removing it. I used the deck cleaner and brightener right after. Finished it off with Thompson's water seal. I'll be sticking with Thompson's from now on.

Works - If You Have a Pressure Washer

Follow the directions. When you go to remove, use a pressure washer. Don’t bother with a brush or anything else; waste of time. Just use a pressure washer. Might take 2 applications, but it works. Photo is a side by side after 1 application.

Unbelievable product

Mistakenly stain our deck with Thompson’s Water Seal tinted stain. Stained well but colour was horrible. I was afraid we’d have to just deal with it and wait for the sun to bleach it out. My wife told me about this product that she searched and I was 200% sure it wouldn’t work because I’ve never heard of anything removing stain once it’s absorbed by the wood. Tonight I cleared the deck, gave it a good sweep and started rolling the product on as directed. Put on three good wet sloppy coats and let it sit. Misted water on it as directed so it didn’t dry and after about 45 mins or so I reluctantly fired up the pressure washer and I could not believe that it worked. Carefully pressure washed it off in 2-3 foot sections while keeping misting the rest of the deck and in about an hour the deck was free of that nasty stain. It is still wet and I know there will be some pressure washer marks as I was very close to the wood but I suspect it will be 99% clear if all the stain. It washed off so easily.

Do not buy! Does not work.

This did not work at all! I am very disappointed. I followed the instructions and even reapplied. I will be returning the second bottle. Wish I could return the first one. A complete waste of money and time.

Q: Does this product work on painted decks?

A: Hello. We do not recommend applying our products over paint. They are meant to be applied to properly prepared, select bare surfaces. Paint will interfere with our products penetrating completely.
