Was great until it wasn’t

I used this only for cold water. The water stays cold and I love the spout choice between a straw or a flip top. I exclusively use the straw side. After about a month or so I notice mold on the lid. It can’t be washed either, it’s imbedded in the plastic eew! It is the side I don’t typically drink from, and yes I do keep it cleaned and it is only the one side. (see pics) This is my second cup and I had the same issue with the first one. I returned the first one and received this one as a replacement. If this issue would be fixed I could recommend this cup, but seeing as it has happened twice, I can not recommend this to anyone sadly. I loved this cup and am extremely disappointed.

A: The lids are dishwasher safe in the top rack, vessels are recommended hand wash only to preserve the longevity of the finish.
