Difficulty with wooden handle

I'm on my second handle, which has broken in the same way the first did. The orange "locking finger" portion of the handle continues to break when inserted into the broom head or squeegee head. It doesn't appear to properly lock in place between those heads, and wears/breaks with only a few uses.

This is the BEST all-in-one cleaning device for my outdoor patio. I use it every single day. However, the orange piece on the bottom of the handle has had the locking mechanism snap off… hoping to get that piece switched out and back to work!
