Good if you aren't using it daily

I bought this bike in June (it's now October) and I absolutely loved this bike for the first 3 months, its stylish and the seat is so comfortable, and it was a very smooth and easy ride. I've been riding the bike to and from my work (5 km daily, 5 days a week) it's a very easy commute to my work, flat bike path, no hills. however, like the other reviewers said, the gears constantly skip and don't stay in gear especially around the 4-6 gear mark. its becoming impossible to peddle, the bike has become so stiff and creaky and clanky now, people literally hear me coming from a block or more away. The tune up and full overhaul im going to need to replace all the things on this bike will cost more than the bike itself and I've had it for 4 months. I knew this bike wouldn't last me forever but i was expecting to get 1-2 years out of it with basic maintenance. If you're using this bike 1-2 times a month to go on a leisurely family bike ride, then it's perfect but if you're using it as a daily commuter i honestly recommend saving up for a better bike

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Just got a Supercycle Pathway bicycle, would like to know the best gear to use for easy riding where there are inclines and slopes; would prefer to not be switching gears or is it preferred to use gears for optimum performance ? There are 7 gear shifts.

    1 Answer
    • A: The lowest gear (largest cog) will be the easiest to pedal, and the highest gear (smallest cog) will be the hardest to pedal. Finding the right gear for the hill is a personal choice as there are different riding styles, but generally speaking the lowest gear will be the easiest to climb in.
