A good bike for kids & youth

Good option if you just need a casual kids bike

Excellent for kid just needing a leisure bike. For performance or light body aluminum frame etc. this isn’t it. Just a reliable easy to ride and grow into it for an 11-15 year old approximately. And better on sale

    Good value and good service

Bought online. Team was very professional. Called to let me know that there was a defective tube in one of the tires and that it would take an extra couple days to order replacement and install. Followed up with a call when completed ahead of schedule. Staff at the store in CS were great. No issues and I’d buy from this store again no question. Bike is good for the price. 10 year old son loves it. No issues with it at all after several rides.

Bought from store with a busted tube.

Tube was flat in tire upon purchase and would not hold air. Canadian tire would not let us return the bike or exchange it, even though it was purchased just the day before. They only offered to fix it but could not repair for a couple of days. As it is a couple of hours drive to the Canadian tire, this was unaccepltable.

Q: My son is 5ft 9 inch and about 155lbs, is this bike tall enough for him?

    • A: We would suggest speaking to the Department Manager of your local Canadian Tire store to find the bicycle that best suits your needs.

Q: Hi , I wanted to ask this bike is right for me. I am 5’8

    • A: I am 5'3 and wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 5 foot unless you will peddle standing up

Q: I bought this cycle few days back. Its good but it's seat is loose and I am trying to figure out how to adjust the seat but can't. when I or my son sit on it then it tilts foward or backwards and does not stay put. Did anyone else had this issue?

    2 Answers
    • A: You need to make seat level and there are two nuts where the bars under seat . Tighten nuts

Q: is this bike good for roads/trails too?

    Anonymous4 years ago
    2 Answers
    • A: This bike is good for roads. It would need a more aggressive tread pattern on the tires for trail riding. The bike looked great in the store but required immediate service once we got it home. The nuts that hold the rear tire on the frame were loose and resulted in near catastrophic failure with severe wobble and tire nearly falling off! After further inspection of the front tire nuts it was observed that they were loose as well. The rear brakes were nearly non existent! They had to be adjusted so that my son could actually stop without having to drag his feet! Quality control and assurance of Canadian Tire bicycles is extremely poor! BUYER'S BE WARE!!!

Q: The rear suspension creaks very loudly when I ride or step on a pedal. Silicone spray doesn't help. The spring ends at a steel washer towards the front. Should there be some kind of rubber washer between them or should I increase tension?

    1 Answer
    • A: You can try increasing the tension, if that doesn't work we'd recommend you call the sports manager at the Canadian Tire where you bought the bike and see about having your bike looked at by the bike tech. If a new rear shock needs to be ordered, they can order it for you from the vendor.

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes, the water bottle cage gets attached on the under side of the downtube on this bike
