Almost perfect

The hose reel works very well. It was easy to hook up and wind up. The guide keeps the hose winding neatly. My only complaint is that there is no way to anchor the reel to a hard surface, so it shifts while you are winding unless you keep the other hand pressed firmly on the edge of the reel. It comes with metal anchor stakes which you can stick in the ground, but my reel sits in my driveway and has to sit there due to the location of my outside faucet.

Q: I realize the product specifications say this fits a hose that has a 150ft max length with 0.63in max width. Would this still fit a hose of 100ft length and 0.88in width?

A: I put a 100 foot 5/8 inch hose in the reel and it is a very tight fit. It is very difficult to unwind and wind back up the hose.

A: The hose from water tap to reel is about 3 or 4 feet. It comes assembled. You just need to connect your hose.
