Controller burned out very fast

I bought one of these and the controller died within the year. I would not recommend. Friend had the same thing happen to hers too, so it's a design flaw.

The blanket almost set my bed on fire. Cheaply made. Not impressed. Obviously Canadian tire doesn’t product test their stuff before they sell it.

Poor quality

The cord is stiff and has sharp edge on one side. The blanket makes plastic sounds on top and bottom. There is a huge white tag stitched on two sides.

Q: What does it mean when the controller light is blinking and the blanket is no longer heating up?

A: Hi,The light flashing could mean several things including that the product is not receiving enough power from the source. To fix this problem, please follow these troubleshooting steps. Step 1: Try to unplug from the wall outlet for at least 30 seconds. Step 2: Unplug and plug in the connector. Step 3: Verify there is no physical damage to the cord and controller Step 4: Plug back into the wall outlet. Be sure that this heated product is used only on an AC supply circuit of the proper voltage. Do not use with an extension cord. Do not use with generators, power converters or inverters. Try plugging the heated mattress pad into a different outlet to see if it works differently. Your product has a 5 year warranty, If after troubleshooting the issue continues, If you have your receipt please return to the place of purchase for an exchange or contact our customer service team for warranty support from Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm E.S.T. 1-877-383-6399 or https://sunbeamhome.com/en/contact-us indicate the retailer in the message and we will do our best to make things better.
