don't buy on clearance

a month ago

don't buy on clearance. not to detract from the product, but the Use By date is only on the packets inside the box. Nothing showed clearance on the product page, but later on I searched the site for the product and it does have the tag showing. Ordered late October 2025, the product was Use By 2022. Still malleable but did not cure, had to beg a refund at my local store and was told the shipping fee was not refundable.

Check 'Use-by' date when purchasing in person

Sugru is sugru. You can expect to work as it should _provided_ it's still fresh. Look around the box for the "Use by" date, otherwise you might get paste that's already started to dry and won't let you knead & form it well. And beware buying it special, especially if done online!!

Avais déjà essayé du sugru blanc, devrait avoir une certaine force une fois séché, ce n’est pas le cas. Le noir a déteint beaucoup sur mes doigts lors de la manipulation, attention aux taches! Contrairement à mes attentes, n’a pas été concluant pour joindre deux mcx de plastique en les recouvrant.

Q: Does sugru become hard when exposed to air?

A: It will become hard when exposed to air, but it is still a little pliable. You have quite a while to mold it into the shape you want it before it hardens. I think it takes about 24 hours to no longer be sticky or be able to be shaped. If you open a pack, expect to use it all at once or the remainder would be wasted.

A: Le Sugru (comme beaucoup d'adhésifs peut avoir des difficultés à adhérer à certains plastiques). Certains plastiques sont recouverts d'un revêtement qui agit comme une barrière à l'adhésion.
