A little disappointed

Had both the 3/8" and the 1/2" ratchets lock up on me and was unable to reverse or use the ratchet function at all. Stanley did however replace both for me and I'm hoping the same thing won't happen to these as well.

Very decent price, not sure why you'll want to spend more

I have the 3/8 one and just like others said, the construction is nice and solid and quite heavy. The handle is very short - this is why I used it in tight spaces and because it's so easy and pleasant to work with a smaller tool this is my 'main' - however for tighter bolts I have a second extendable 3/8 ratchet (other brand). It also seems like it can take 'some' abuse. These Stanley are NOT meant for lots of abuse, I consider them a medium solid tool - quite better than a cheap one, but not close to higher end ones. But what's very surprising is the price: if you shop around, you'll notice that for the same amount you can barely get a single 3/8 from a similar quality brand.

Awesome rachets.

I bought these to get me by when my "professional brand" 3/8 ratchet finally cratered. This whole set works better than almost all of my other ratchets (I'm around 9 now). The positive lock with a push button to unlock is a feature I love but few of my others have it. No more dropping a spark plug socket into the engine bay. I've had these for around 4 months now and used all of them on a weekly or more basis.
I highly recommend this set (I bought it on sale) whether you need them or are just added to your collection.

Excellent Product

I got this product yesterday and I've used 2 of the ratchets so far. The small ratchet with a T27 torx bit socket to get a rounded allen bolt out of an end table leg. It did the job...fast, smooth & easy. The large ratchet with a 13mm socket to remove & install six new bolts to hold the two bash plates on my 2007 Hummer H3. Again, it did the job...fast smooth & easy. For this price point (equal to buying the medium sized ratchet alone at regular price), you can't go wrong. With a lifetime warranty where you just call up and the replacement is shipped to you (no shipping fee) how can you go wrong? The gloss black colour of the ratchet also matches my vehicles colour!
