Good product from Stanley. Unfortunately they do not make these anymore which is a shame. Used around the farm with great reception and sound.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this a month ago and it’s great. Suppressed the noise of equipment and allows me to listen to the radio. The reception is great.

    Long term report

I have used these for nearly 3 years now. I use them on a riding lawn mower as well as doing work in my tractor. Both are very loud and ear protection is necessary. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. I am over 6' and do not have a small head so I cannot understand the other comments about them being for kids. They are perfectly snug and comfortable on my head. The other complaint I see is the battery door. I cannot understand that one either. It is not complicated so if you cannot figure out how to open the battery door properly on a pair of headphones then I think these probably aren't for you. Sound quality and reception were my biggest surprise. These are very good for a battery powered radio headphone. The digital tuner locks onto the desired station and that's pretty much all there is to it. I do not live in a rural area so radio reception is not an issue for me. Not sure what others who live far out in the countryside would say about the antenna being good enough to pick up weak signals. Volume control is adequate to get it to a comfortable level that works for you. I do not use it for the MP3 capability so I cannot report on that feature. I am buying another set when they are on sale for my wife to use out gardening on the property.

    Better than I Thought

I waited for this item to come on sale. Reviews had me concerned it would not be a good buy but I was pleasantly surprised. I had no trouble with the size as some have indicated. As well, having read the reviews I didn't force the battery cover and it worked fine. Most battery covers you push down and up at the same time, however, this one you just push down and it releases immediately, no problem whatsoever. Looks like cheap plastic but it has enough wait to gain my confidence and the sound quality is great. Can't wait to use them in the tractor!!

    Best bang for your buck

I use these muffs a lot. From 40 degree days to -20 degree days. I’ve yet to have to change the batteries and I bought these almost a year ago. There comfortable and when I’m running my 362 chainsaw I can hear the radio fine. Buy them already what are you waiting for.

    • A: I agree that the two photographs show two different models. It is misleading. The photo with the MP3 device attached represents the model currently available in the store. I have owned a pair of those for at least two years. The first time I changed the batteries I had a LOT of trouble removing the cover. It is a terrible design. I damaged the cover trying to remove it and from that point on had to use tape to keep the cover closed AND have to replace the tape occasionally. The position of the cover is very specific because it contains two battery connections. When I saw the new photo of the ear muffs, I went to the store to get a pair hoping the battery cover design was improved and was disappointed to find that the design has not changed. I am surprised that nobody else reported a problem with the battery cover...perhaps the breakage was my fault.
